Black Thunder: America's Most Hated Crimefighter is a satirical blaxploitation action-comedy, and the sequel to Donaldo Prescod's immensely popular first film, Black Thunder. In this new film, which features original music from Jaimason Berkheimer and Nick Schaupp, Black Thunder (Daniel Prescod), has retired from fighting crime to start a successful movie production company. When two tumultuous villains, Demetri (Corey Atkison) and Mojo (Tommy O'Brien), plague the city with a deadly virus, the outbreak especially affects Black Thunder's actors, crippling the production of his latest film and leaving the world's greatest vigilante crime fighter no other choice than to come out of retirement and take down his nemeses. The film, which is not rated, contains adult language, sexual content, obscene puppetry, and nudity. It is recommended for mature audiences. Gala attire is encouraged for the 10 p.m Premiere of Black Thunder: America's Most Hated Crimefighter at Monterey's Osio Theatre. There will be a second showing at midnight. $5 admission to either screening. Promotional poster design by Stephanie Whigham |
