it pleases me to have played with the early incarnation of this finnish band. i'm convinced that jaska is the best drummer since pete defrietas. jouni eventually cut his hair.

shooting took place in and around cairn's bomb-shelter rehearsal space on henry fordin katu. i used my ratty 35mm camera and high-speed film - not only because i dig grain, but because helsinki is insanely dark in january.

their four-song recording tends towards complex and heavy, but retains a positive pop vibe - the sounds of down but looking up. stars were collected and distressed.
