It's that time of year again, time one more to head up to our favorite mountain top and dance well past dawn. This year's lineup features a lot of familiar faces, but a few special guests will be joining us as always, to bring that wonderful mix of sounds that Straylight parties are known for. With that being said here is the short version of this year's line up:
And now the full story of the line up: Starting at around 8pm and going until 9pm, SEVENTH SWAMI, from Sacramento will be starting things off with a chilled out Decks and Effects set. SEVENTH SWAMI represnts the Ambient Mafia, Escape Artists and WantIt crews. A taste of his music can be found at: ambientmafia.com At 9pm will the be Straylight DJ : BEETJUNKEY from Monterey. Some of you may know him as Kyle the mad accountant, but there's soo much more to this man. He's been hard at work in the studio tuning up his mixing skills and you can get a sample of what he's been working on at this link: myspace.com/mierdadechongo Then at 10pm will be the triumphant return of our good freind ARWIN. After a couple years off ARWIN is back and representing the Iriendao and Ataraxia crews. More about his music can be found by seaching for him at: radio.virtualdj.com At 11pm DJ FUNKTION ILL from San Francisco representing I'll'n'Naughty Records, will be taking over with some Nasty Funky Electro. A taste of which can be found at : electroboat.us Then at MIdnight DJ DICE, a recent transplant to San Francisco will be taking over the decks with some of his Heavy Funky Breaks. DJ DICE's latest mix : SAN FRANCISCO SESSIONS VOL.1 can be found at: thehothouse.net/straylight/dice At 1:15am one of our favorite DJs, San Jose's MICHAEL LIU from the Sunkissed Family, Stilldream and Till Dawn Productions crews will be taking over with his oh so unique taste in Trance. It's not like he needs any introduction, but here's a link to find out more about him and what he's up to these days: myspace.com/sneekyninja Then at 2:30am will be the return of Straylight's own Globe Trotting Superstar DJ and Producer MUBALI. Fresh from his most recent European tour, he's got some incredibly sick new beats to drop on us!!! You can keep up with his latest adventures and tunes at: mubali.usa.gs At 3:45am we have a very special guest DJ performing for us, he's such a big name that we can't put his name on the lineup for fear of overloading our spot. But suffice to say that he's known everywhere on earth. Then at 5am will be the return of our own DJ PARADIGM, now living in Kansas City One of the Straylight founders, and now a resident of the midwest. As well as one of the founders of the Xience crew. His latest mix can be found at: thehothouse.net/straylight/paradigm At 6:15 will be MACHI from Millwaukee, representing the Xience crew. The leading progressive DJ in the upper midwest, MACHI's fluid style and smooth mixing is quickly winning him acclaim acrosss the country. At 7:30 will be SATURNIA from San Francisco representing the CUT Label Group and the Phoenix Family will be gracing us with one of her special morning time Psytrance sets. More about SATUNIA can be found at: noctilucent.net At 9am it will be OPEN DECKS!!!! Featuring the best of who's still standing to keep us going till the generator runns out of gas, or we do, whichever happens first... Now some things to remember: Camping is highly encouraged. It's great to get out there before sunset, as the view is one of the best I've ever seen. But NO FIRES, as the area that this will be happening at is full of lots of dry grass that would burn very fast. Also this is a LEAVE NO TRACE event, so please don't let any garbage hit the ground, we will have trash bags around. Also if you see anyone drop something, please ask them to pick it up. Leaving a trashed party site is the kind of thing that makes it hard to find more party spots. Now a bit about the road, it's a very windy road all the way down the coast, then up the mountain, it's a one lane paved road, once at the top of the mountain the last 4 miles are on a graded dirt road, but most cars can make it down there just fine, unless your car is lowered you should be fine. Detailed directions will be posted at this website and Tribe, the day of the event. But if you've been to one of our parties, you know where you're going.
